As you’ve all probably heard by now, thanks to all the chatter, Spotify recently launched in the states accompanied by a nice, little iPhone application to go along with. Currently only offering one way to become a member, which is by invite (unless you decide to go premium), the service
If you have a prepaid iPhone plan and haven't updated to iPhone OS 3.0 yet, you might want to think twice. Word has it that the software update will cause data service for PayAsYouGo GoPhone customers to stop working. PickYourPlan GoPhone customers should be OK after the update.

Probably one of the biggest downsides to the iPhone 3G in the U.S. is the limited choice of carrier plans with AT&T. Erica Sadun recently confirmed that unlike it's predecessor, the iPhone 3G works just fine with an AT&T Pay-As-You-Go SIM card right out of the box, with no hacking involved.
UK iPhone carrier O2 has finally announced their pay-as-you-go contract prices for the iPhone 3G. However, Apple warns that Visual Voicemail and call merging will not be available on contract-free versions. Thanks for the tip, Ash!

Erica Sadun has stumbled across what looks like a great deal with PAYG phone plans. Thankfully, AT&T has recently added an unlimited data package for $20.00 which lasts for 30 days.
