Japanese wireless carrier Softbank has launched a new promotion for the iPhone 3GS wherein customers willing to sign a two-year contract can now receive a 16GB 3GS for free, as part of the company's "iPhone for Everybody" campaign. The 32GB 3GS should be newly available at a cost of 480 yen ($6) per month, down from 960 yen.
Apple posted their guided tour for the iPhone 3G a little while ago, but for those of us who don't understand English, Apple has posted a Japanese version of their iPhone 3G guided tour. While this probably isn't going to be all that important if you don't speak the language, it is kind of interesting, and they do a longer demo of the Chinese character recognition tool in the keyboard.
