For you retro gaming fans out there (and there's plenty to love about retro), you'll love this. SkiFree! [App Store, Free], the classic lo-fi skiing game for the Windows 3 operating system is now available for free for Apple's iPhone and iPod touch handsets. Per Business Insider, the game is just as simple and tricky as the original and uses the iPhone and iPod touch's motion sensor to steer as well as the touchscreen to jump.
SkiFree is available for free and requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later to install and run.
We've seen some pretty cool DIY projects, but this one might take the cake. It involves a (previously) completely functional speaker dock and a retro rotary phone. it's a pretty simple project, and it functions as a real speaker dock when it's done. Supposedly a version with a microphone in the headset has been made that really works with the iPhone to make calls using a customized app. Video after the break.
