Infestor App Review – Takes Platforming Extraterrestrial

Based on the developer's past App Store record, it's safe to say that iOS game-maker Ravenous Games certainly has the platforming formula down, along other things. Previously at the helm of popular titles including League of Evil, League of Evil 2, Random Heroes, and Beatdown, the indie developer has managed to capture the App Store's attention with its extensive lineup. Recently released, Infestor ($0.99) is the newest addition to Ravenous Games' collection of retro platformers, and it certainly does not fail to satisfy.

Gunslugs App Review – Slug Them in the Face

It's probably quite apparent by now that we absolutely adore retro games here at iPhone Alley. The stylish artwork, fast-paced gameplay and playfully absurd premises coalesce to form a genre that seems like it was designed solely for touchscreens. A favorite developer who has consistently managed to release such arcade-styled games with incredible chart-topping potential is indie Dutch game maker, OrangePixel. The latest of their releases, Gunslugs ($1.99), is nothing short of fantastic, and it's kept us absolutely obsessed for the past few weeks since its release.

App Review: Last Knight Takes First for Most-Deserving Endless Runner

If everyone had a nickel for each of the endless runners that the App Store currently hosts, the whole world would be crawling with richness. Simply said, there are more endless runners for iOS than one could possibly shake a stick at. From dangerously running across the rooftops of buildings, to chilling escapes from hoards of angry primates, it seems every corner of the App Store houses an app in which players are desperately running away from something. The premise has been almost too commonly used today, leaving the factors determining such an app's popularity up to its content and graphical style.
