World of Warcraft Mobile Armory Adds Interactive Auction House
Blizzard’s hit MMORPG World of Warcraft is played by millions of people around the world, and some time ago they released an iPhone app called Mobile Armory to bring all your WoW character and guild information goodness to the iPhone. You could look at all of the data exposed in their web version of the WoW Armory in a native iPhone app, but weren’t able to affect your characters or any in-game items. Just this week, Blizzard announced a beta test of their new Remote Auction House features, now available with version 2.0 of the app. These features allow you to interact with the in-game auction house in every way!
Blizzard has a dedicated web page for the new features, which are also available on the web version of the WoW Armory. In terms of cost , it boils down to “reading is free, writing is premium:” you can search and examine auctions for free, but if you want to post auctions or buy items from the auction house, it’s going to be an additional $2.99 per month. This price allows you to post auctions from your bank or character inventories and also includes the ability to collect gold from your in-game mailbox. For a limited time, during the beta test, you can access all of the features (even the premium ones) for free!
If you are a World of Warcraft player, by all means, download the Mobile Armory app and check out the features while they are free so you can decide if they are worth buying.
