Winpwn Tool Enters Public Beta Test

iPhone Alley reader Leonardo sent a tip our way regarding winpwn, the Windows unlocking utility for Apple's iPhone handset, having reached 0.99.1.8 beta. The version has disabled its buggy 2.0+ support, but the author's hope is that a public beta will help work out nthe bugs within a few days and the final release with include iPhone OS 2.0 support.
Once complete, users with be able to flash custom ipsw software to the iPhone as well as use custom applications and unlock the baseband.
