Solar Charger, Battery Pack For iPhone 3G Released

UK battery and charger maker Battech recently unveiled a cool new charger for the iPhone 3G. It's the iPower SX, and it's a solar-powered charger that includes a large 2,200mAh battery. It uses a 5.5V, 80mA crystalline solar panel that has a 5.3V, 500mA output to convert sunlight into power, but can also be charged by USB when sun isn't available. You can grab one for £40 in the UK, or roughly $62 at their site.

I have absolutely no need of this.

But I want it.

Just in case a jetliner I'm on crashes onto a desert island, I can keep my iPod playing.
