Simplify Media Pulls Apps From App Store, Discontinuing Services
Simplify Media — makers of computer-to-iPhone music streaming music apps — announced last week that they’ve decided to take their technology “in a new direction” and has pulled all applications from the App Store. According to a post on their blog, the decision to remove the apps was done in order to focus on re-launching the technology at some point in the future. Current owners will still be able to use the service for “at least” three more months, although new account creation will be disabled shortly.
Past and present users of Simplify will likely agree that, while the service is useful, it’s not very reliable. Simplify has chosen to not share their future plans, although we’re guessing that a stronger, more reliable version of the service is in the cards for the future.
Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu versions of Simplify Media are still available for download from their site, although we’re not sure if they’ll stay that way for long.
