Next iPhone's Features Described By Chinese Forum Poster?

MacRumors is reporting that a user of the Chinese forum Weiphone has posted information about the next generation iPhone. According to the posting, the next iPhone will have a 600MHz CPU (up from 400MHz), 32GB of storage, a 3.2 megapixel auto-focus camera (reported earlier), 256MB RAM (up from 128MB), a digital compass (reported earlier), and "FM." The poster does say that the external casing hasn't changed much from the current version.

An included screenshot from the alleged next-gen iPhone (below) shows a new iPhone model number, "MB717LL."

As MacRumors points out, the poster doesn't have any previous record of rumors, so it's difficult to verify the authenticity of this post. However, doesn't seem to be any reason to doubt the information as most of the info has been previously discussed.

Alleged spy shots of the next-generation iPhone were leaked back in February, which you can see here. It doesn't look TOO different from the 3G, so these two stories may be connected.

All old news, but one really stuck out.

256MB of RAM? If so, I'll be psyched! The current 128MB just isn't enough. :/

i believe this might have some authenticity be cause any one who has worked wit more than 10 iphone's can tell you that the last 3 digits don't matter all the tell is the model and capacity like 3g's seem to have 3 endings black has y7h and y7k white ends in r4 and original iphone in wh8

so this leaked screen does not have a serial # consistant with current models and dosen't as of now give out enough info to track down the phone based on the viewable portions

I have to say, I think I am most excited about the processor bump. Just bothers me that crap phones can get to their contacts and/or texts faster than I can with the best phone on the market.

stronger vibrate would be nice, i dont feel my phone ring most times. unless that got fixed with 3g...

I would agree with you if I didn't think my iPhone was just a fun little toy in my pocket that let me play games, twitter, and text message with lovely ladies. The CPU & RAM bumps are essential.

NO FLASH! It would make the back of the iPhone unattractive. I don't need a flash.

The memory bump is nice, and expected, but I'm psyched about having twice the RAM! I can finally use backgrounder! And apps will never crash again. The battery better be better or I'll be forced to buy a battery pack for it. I'm just sad for no front facing camera. The 4th Gen iPhone better have it. It would be insane if AT&T's 4G was ready by then, but highly doubtful.

What I REALLY want is better sound quality on the iPhone (i.e. HD/Wideband audio)

Well time to get an iPhone soon. My iPod 2g is cool but takes up almost the same space

Also heard rumors of a higher resolution screen.
