Next iPhone To Have Dual Core ARM Processor, Limited April Launch?
The next iPhone will be here in limited supply in April, and be more powerful than previous models, according to a Korean newspaper. They say that Apple will be doing a sort of test run by offering the next generation iPhone to corporate sponsors as soon as April. It will also reportedly contain a dual-core processor, giving it significantly more braun than prior models.
The news comes from the Korean Times, who quotes a “high-ranking KT executive” as saying that their company, a wireless carrier in Korea, is planning to offer the devices to select corporate customers as a “litmus test”. They say Apple and KT reached “a broad consensus to introduce the advanced models as early as possible.”
The report also says that the next iPhone will be packing the ARM Cortex-A9 processor, which could give it speeds up to 2Ghz, comparable to the Macbook.
