NASA App Updated to 1.1

We’re going with “cool and geeky” today as NASA announced the new version of its free iPhone application. Version 1.1 of the app, which allows users to track the positions of the International Space Station and Space Shuttle to see if you may be in the vicinity for a visible sighting opportunity of either one also introduces a high-resolution option for images and a sleep mode on/off toggle (so you can keep your device from going into sleep mode while you track launches). Both of these features can be configured in the iPhone’s settings for the app.
Other fixes and changes include additional detail and content is provided for missions as well as a new Launch Schedule entry on the Missions screen to keep you updated on NASA’s launches.

NASA App is available for free and requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later to install and run.
