Mystery Boxes Arrive At Australian iPhone Resellers?

in

We're not sure if this means anything or not, but it could be exciting news if you're in Australia. A photo of a box that was reported to be recently received by Australian iPhone resellers yesterday surfaced on MacTalk.com.au that are sealed with a warning not to open them until June 10th. We're not sure what is inside, but June 10th is the day of the WWDC keynote presentation (in Australian time). MacTalk believes that it could possibly be a demo version of the 3G iPhone. Photo after the break.

The box says that the contents are subject to NDA, meaning that Apple reserves the right to sic their army of lawyers on you if you tell what's inside. Whatever is in there, it's important, and Apple doesn't want anybody to know about it.

DO NOT OPEN UNTIL TUESDAY JUNE 10TH, 2008"

Bullshit!

If it was real Apple would overnight ship it on the 9th and DHL would be delivering it the morning of the 10th.

Could be a sign kit.

Retailers will often get sign kits for big "secret" events well in advance so they are set to go. That may or my not include a working unit. Considering apple uses stock selling units. It is probaly just signage.

Stamp

Yeah, right... Look at the postal stamp. The other half is under (?) this recently added paper onto package... Blah blah. I would've done it better.

the text at the bottom is straight while the text at the top goes at an angle, a sure sign of being photoshoped. And yes the stamp is the best way to tell. Good eye on that one
