MLB.com At Bat App Back In App Store For 2009 Season

MLB.com is bringing back their At Bat app for the iPhone and iPod touch for the 2009 Baseball season. The new app, MLB.com At Bat 2009 now at $9.99 in the App Store (up from $4.99 in 2008), brings back one of the most popular sports apps, and also adds a few new features that weren’t present in the 2008 version, including in-game audio for all Major League Baseball games during this season.

The previous version of the app from 2008 remains available from the app store as a free download under the name At Bat Lite [App Store]. During the American off-season, the now ‘lite’ verison covered games from the World Baseball Classic games, as well as Major League Baseball spring training. When the season starts up, the free app will offer real-time scores and schedules, but won’t include the features of the paid 2009 version.
