iPhone Alley App of the Day – June 6, 2012

Although our staff here at iPhone Alley doesn’t get to review every single worthwhile application that undoubtedly bombard the App Store each and everyday, we keep an eye out for those that promise potential. Our limited number of reviews isn’t reflective of our eyes that are constantly searching the broad confines of the App Store. Below is our pick for today’s best application.

And our app of the day is…

Task ($0.99)

Earlier this year, Realmac Software launched Clear on the App Store. The task management application’s simplicity quickly helped it gain chart position, and it was undoubtedly a successful endeavor. Unfortunately, it had its own flaws despite its admirable, simplistic nature.

Task by Nuage touch basically aims to rectify Clear’s issues in a more stylish way. While it’s a bit more complex in truth, it’s that much better.

The app utilizes many gesture-based functions to perform, and following a short informative tutorial upon initially opening the app, you’ll be accustomed to them. Task allows you to add reminders, sorts them based on priority and more in the same visual manner as the aforementioned Clear.

If you were a bit put off with the fact that Clear was simply a list with no functionality beyond that, you should definitely check out Task. It’s user interface is superior to that of Clear, and the additional features make it an obvious contender for those seeking a worthy task-management utility.

Remember to tune in for tomorrow’s pick.
