iPhone 3G Sold Out In All But 3 Apple Stores

The iPhone continues to be in short supply in the United States. As of 10 days after it's launch, the iPhone 3G is now completely sold out in all but 3 locations in the States. Currently the only places that have iPhone 3G's are California, New York, and New Hampshire.

The Stoneridge Mall Apple Store in Pleasanton, CA is currently the only one offering a black iPhone, with both the store in Rockingham Park and the 5th Avenue store only still having white iPhones. 8GB phones are now completely sold out at Apple locations.

I ordered mine...

On the launch date, July 11th, I went to my local mall in Schaumburg, IL to pick up my new iPhone 3G...I had two choices - either wait in line that was already over 100 people long for who knows how long (or if I'd even get one) or go to the AT&T store to order one.

Needless to say, I walked right past the Apple store and went to the AT&T store. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes after ordering my new phone. They told me it would take 3 - 5 business days to come in. I got a call the following Wednesday (3 business days later) to come and pick it up.

Now that was quick and easy!

I went by my store saturday and my friend picked up a 16gb black one. This is in Victor, NY. Guess he just got lucky
