Griffin Announces iPhone-Compatible iTrip

in

Up until recently, iPhone owners wanting to listen to music in their car have had to rely on the standard technologies (raido, CD players, iPods, etc). Thankfully that has come to an end, as Griffin has claimed the #1 spot as the first company to release an iPhone-compatable device for your car's stereo. Their iTrip AutoPilot is the first FM transmitter of it's kind that lets you listen to audio on your iPhone through your car's stereo system while on the go.

The device works the same way as their other iTrip products do for the iPod line. You just plug in your iPhone to the 30-pin connector, and plug the other end into a power outlet or cigarette lighter in your car. The device charges your iPhone, and at the same time, broadcasts the iPhone's audio to an open FM station through a built-in FM transmitter, which you can tune in to on your car's radio.

Griffin's iTrip AutoPilot will be available through Apple and other resellers for US$99.

DLO Transpod

my old transpod works. just have to put the phone in airplane mode. i had bought one from hdaccessories.com that they said was specifically for the iphone. it sucked. tried my old Transpod and it works great!

no way

I have a pioneer avic d3 that when i plug in my iphone i can not only listen to music, but when a call come in it tones down my music and the ringtone comes thru my car stereo. then i have the option to use bluetooth to connect to my stereo to actually listen to a phone call thru my stereo. way better than ANY FM transmitter. I have had this for months!!!
