Apple Warns Developers About Bogged Down Approval Process

A pre-holiday swell of App Store submissions from developers is causing uncharacteristic slowness, Apple says. Several developers who submitted their apps to Apple in the past few days have got reply emails back from the company, warning them that their app may not make it into the App Store before Christmas. As a result, some developers are choosing to hold off on releasing new apps or major updates until Macworld, using the opportunity to add finishing touches.
This is a good example of one of the major flaws with the App Store. Timing an app's launch can be key to an apps success, but no one can be sure how long the approval process will take.
Developers should also be aware that iTunes Connect will be down for a few days later this month.

Does this affect people who just connet there iPhones iTunes to put music etc on it or just developers
Not sure about this - unless it's very recent
It's possibly they received a lot in the last couple of days though - or are setting developers expectations because they have some staff going on leave and will slow down. :-)
Cheers,
Tim.
