Apple Trademarks iPhone As Handheld Game Device

Nearly 3 years after the initial launch of the device, Apple has just been awarded a trademark they filed for back in December of 2007 for the name “iPhone” with the bitten-apple logo  under the categories 9 (mobile phone and digital audio player), 38 (electronic data-transmitting device), and now, 28, or a  ‘handheld unit for playing electronic games.’  While it doesn’t mean that much in terms of the future, it does mean that the name iPhone truly and completely belongs to Apple in all the categories it operates in.
