Apple Not Planning iTunes Subscriptions After All

Rumors had been circulating that Apple might be considering a subscription-based iTunes music download service paired with the purchase of their iPhones or iPods, but Buisness Week's sources are saying otherwise. According to them, no negotiations are underway for the creation of such a service between Apple and record companies.

Business Week claims that, "according to people familiar with Apple's plans," as well as an insider at a major music label, no such negotiations are underway. However, one source acknowledges that the idea has been "kicked around" for about the last year or so.
