100,000 iPhones, iPod Touches Jailbroken With AppSnapp
Jailbreaking iPhones and iPod touches is hot right now. The web-based one click jailbreak, AppSnapp, is reported has having been downloaded a staggering 144,000 times since it’s release just a few days ago for devices running virmware v1.1.1. Of course, Nicholas “Drudge” Penree, one of the developers who assisted in AppSnapp’s creation, believes that a figure around 100,000 might be more accurate.
While AppSnapp does make it possible to put those fun little apps on your iPhone, it’s also a crucial step in unlocking the iPhone to work with other carriers. Still, after all those downloads and all of those jailbreaked devices, Penree says that they have only raised about $1500 in donations. So, if you’re a satisfied user of AppSnapp, go on and give a little.
