    Steps to Setup iCloud Account

    1. Go to Settings: Locate the Settings app on your device. It is an inbuilt service for all your iOS devices. Tap on it.
    2. Tap on Contacts: Settings will show you the list of settings options for your iOS device. Locate “Contacts” from the list. Tap on it.
    3. Go to Accounts: You will see the settings related to contacts in this section. Locate “Accounts” at the top of the list. Tap on it to go ahead.
    4. Add Account: This section will display you the list of the accounts you have on your device. Locate the “Add Account” option at the bottom of the list. Tap on this option.
    5. Select iCloud: And follow the instructions. Now you will see a bunch of options to add a new account with. Locate the “iCloud” option from this list. It has a cloud icon at its right as its logo. Tap on it to add your iCloud account to your device. Keep following the instructions, as shown on your screen to finish the process.

    Steps to Backup contacts on iPhone

    1. Go to Settings: Locate the Setting app on your device. It is an inbuilt service for all your iOS devices. It has a gear icon as its logo. Tap on it.
    2. Tap on your Apple ID: Locate your Apple ID at the top of the Settings menu. It is usually saved as your name on your device, tap on it.
    3. Select iCloud: Your Apple ID will display you the list of options running on your device. Locate the option of “iCloud” from this list and tap on it.
    4. Go to Contacts: iCloud section will open the list of the data you have on your iCloud account. This list contains Photos, Safari, Mail, Calendars, Reminders and many more. Locate “Contacts” from this list.
    5. Toggle slider ON: Tap on the toggle button at the right of the “Contacts” option. The toggle button will now turn green, which means that it has been turned to on from off. A new pop up window may appear on your screen to ask you to merge your contacts. Select on “Merge Contacts” option, if prompted.
    6. Turn on iCloud Backup: Now locate the option of “iCloud Backup,” located at the top of the list. Tap on it to turn it on, if it is not on already.
    7. Back up now: You will see an option of “Backup Now.” Locate it and tap on it to backup your contacts. Wait till the backup process is completed.

    Sync iPhone contacts to iCloud

    1. Go to Settings: Locate the Setting app on your device. Tap on it.
    2. Tap on iCloud: Once your iCloud account has been set up, you can see the “iCloud” option in the list of settings. Locate it and tap on it.
    3. Sync Contacts: iCloud section will open the list of the data you have on your iCloud account. This list contains Photos, Safari, Mail, Calendars, Reminders and many more. Locate “Contacts” from this list. Tap on the toggle button at the right of the “Contacts” option. The toggle button will now turn green.

    That is it. Your contacts will now be synced to your iCloud account.

    If your contacts are not already connected with your iCloud account, then your iPhone will ask you if you want to merge your contacts into iCloud. Press the option of “Yes” to continue. To confirm the sync process, you can visit your iCloud account by visiting www.icloud.com from your PC. You can check your synced contacts with the “Contacts” option on your iCloud homepage.

    Steps to move iPhone contacts to iCloud

    1. Go to Settings: Locate the Setting app on your device. It is an inbuilt service for all your iOS devices. It has a gear icon as its logo. Tap on its open settings.
    2. Tap on iCloud: Once your iCloud account has been set up, you can see the “iCloud” option in the list of settings. Locate it and tap on it.
    3. Disable Contacts: iCloud section will open the list of the data you have on your iCloud account. This list contains Photos, Safari, Mail, Calendars, Reminders and many more. Locate “Contacts” from this list. Disable the Contacts by tapping on the toggle button at the right of the “Contacts” option. Just as you disable the contacts, a pop-up will appear to ask you what you want to do with the contacts on your iPhone. This pop-up window will provide you options like “Keep on My iPhone” and “Delete from my iPhone.” You can choose either one you wish to go with. The “Keep on My iPhone” option will keep the contacts on your iPhone and will not delete anything, whereas the “Delete from My iPhone” option will delete the contacts from your iPhone.”
    4. Re-enable Contacts: Enable the Contacts again by tapping on the toggle button, located at the right against the “Contacts” option. The toggle button will turn green again.
    5. Merge Contacts with iCloud: A new pop up window will appear on your screen. It will ask your confirmation on whether you want to merge your contacts with your iCloud account. Tap on the “Merge” option.

    It will move and merge all your iPhone contacts to your iCloud account
