Concept: Managing Apps On Home Screens Using iTunes

Having over 20,000 apps in the App Store means you have plenty of variety, but it also means more icons you have to organize on your home screen. One user suggested a way of managing their location in iTunes, and created this video demo of how it might work. (video after the break)


While we're not sure how likely it is that Apple will adopt something like this, it would be great to see something to help with managing all those icons, even if iTunes isn't it.

Very nice! I would love something like this especially since I tend to buy my apps through the store instead of on my iPod Touch.

People have been kicking around the idea about managing the apps on our computers instead of the phone ever since the App store came out, and I for one, would love to see something like this. I just makes sense.
This is a great demo. I sure hope Apple has considered it and is working on their own plan........or gets some ideas from this one.

This is how I had imagined it too. It would be nice to sort by category as well. Another idea is to allow the user to choose to use folders or not.

not bad, but at this point you should have options for a BACKGROUND PICTURE and other mods that require a hacked iphone. come on apple, two years and still no bluetooth audio or background picture.....your ending up like micro$oft more and more.
