A second iPhone has exploded in France, once again causing personal injury according to an AFP news report. Per the report, a security guard was injured Monday afternoon when his iPhone’s glass screen exploded while he was typing a text message, sending shards of glass into his eye.

Orange, one of the official carriers of the iPhone in France, has announced that they have sold their millionth iPhone since it first launched in November of 2007. To celebrate, Orange is offering their customers free access to their Roland-Garros iPhone application, which lets them watch the French Open on their iPhone.

Following the initial ruling in December, a French appeals court has ruled to uphold the ban on Apple's deal with Orange to be the sole carrier of the iPhone in the country, officially unlocking all iPhones sold in France for use on any compatible French network. Following the verdict, the iPhone 3G was spotted for sale on other websites bundled with contracts from other carriers.

Wireless carrier Orange Telecom has officially lost their exclusivity as the only iPhone 3G carrier in France. A court has ordered Apple to allow other carriers to carry the iPhone 3G in the country. The ruling was the result of a complaint filed in September by Orange France rival Bouygues Telecom SA, the third largest carrier in the country.

On Thursday, French wireless carrier announced that it will launch the iPhone 3G handset in the country on July 17th with prices beginning at 149 euros ($233) for the 8GB model. The carrier also announced that it will offer the 16GB version of the model for 199 euros ($311.77). The two subsidized prices require that customers also purchase a subscription to one of its existing "Orange for iPhone" plans (below), or its Origami Star (from 3 hours), First or Jet plans.
