Video: Windows 95 Emulator Running On An iPhone

Russian iPhone website GooDiPhone has published video footage of an iPhone that is successfully running a Windows 95 emulator. Functionality is still very rudimentary and not very good, but it does show that such a thing can potentially be done. They say that performance would be improved if they had an iPhone 3G for testing. Check it out after the break.

Citrix Shows Off XenApp At Macworld, Lets iPhone Run Windows Apps

The guys with Citrix were present at Macworld Expo, showing off XenApp, their version of the XenDesktop thin client that lets you run Windows on your iPhone. While we didn't manage to catch up with them, iPodNN was able to get a demonstration on video, which showed the iPhone running several Windows apps smoothly.

iTunes 8 Causing BSOD On Vista When Attached To iPhone/iPod

Steve promised a lot of cool new features with iTunes 8, but Windows Vista users that upgraded to the new version were in for an unpleasant surprise. Users on the Apple Discussions running the latest 'doze in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions are reporting getting nothing less then the blue screen of death each time they plug in their iPhone or iPod.

iTunes 7.7 Installs Unwanted MobileMe Preference Pane In Windows

Remember that time Apple was trying to push Safari on people updating their iTunes software? It looks like Apple is at it again. They just can't leave those Windows users alone. This time they're spamming them in the iTunes 7.7 update with an unwanted MobileMe control panel that gives the user the ability to open a MobileMe account. They're none too happy about it, either.

2.0 Software Jailbreak Method For Windows Users

Feeling left out because Mac users have the Pwnage Tool for 2.0 but WinPwn for 2.0 isn't out yet? Not to worry. A method has been found for jailbreaking your first-gen iPhone (sorry 3G owners) running the new 2.0 software with a Windows machine. Mark/Space Releases Windows Version of Missing Sync for iPhone

Windows may be your operating system of choice or it may be forced upon you, but there's some good news if you're an iPhone owner. On Thursday, software company Mark/Space introduced a Windows version of its Missing Sync for iPhone software.
