At Macworld: Griffin Unveils PowerBrick Reserve, PowerJolt Reserve, Navigate

3 new toys from Griffin. The first two are the PowerBrick Reserve and PowerJolt Reserve. The PowerBrick Reserve is a standard wall charger for your iPhone that has a removable emergency battery magnetically held in place that can be removed and plugged into your iPhone when you're out of juice and can't find an outlet.

Solar Charger, Battery Pack For iPhone 3G Released

UK battery and charger maker Battech recently unveiled a cool new charger for the iPhone 3G. It's the iPower SX, and it's a solar-powered charger that includes a large 2,200mAh battery. It uses a 5.5V, 80mA crystalline solar panel that has a 5.3V, 500mA output to convert sunlight into power, but can also be charged by USB when sun isn't available. You can grab one for £40 in the UK, or roughly $62 at their site.

If you often travel abroad, then you might appreciate this little gadget that Kensington just announced. It's a replacement for that little wall charger unit that Apple includes with every iPhone, but if you travel to another country with different power outlets then it can be a hassle. That's where their International Travel Charger for iPod and iPhone comes in.

I recently got an email from a friend of mine with a tale of iPhone woe. My buddy Ken (not the podcaster) has a car charger which was made for use with iPods and so he assumed an iPhone would work just as well. As it turns out, not every iPod charger will play nicely with an iPhone. Frankly, I've been known to tell people that iPod chargers will work the same.
