Apple will be adding more advanced motion-sensing capabilities to the next version of the iPhone, according to unnamed Taiwanese news sources. The MEMS gyroscopes similar to those in the Nintendo Wii MotionPlus accessory, digital cameras for image stabilization, and the Segway, will allegedly be making an appearance in the next iPhone.
A new version of the NES emulator for the iPhone was recently released through Cydia that now adds accelerometer controls to games. Now, tilting the device from side to side is the equivalent of using the standard controls to move in that direction.
