Tim Cook today published an open letter to all of Apple's customers addressing the wide criticism over iOS 6's new Apple-powered Maps application. The Apple CEO, through the apology letter, which was posted on the company's website, says Apple is "extremely sorry" for any inconveniences the Maps app may have caused to customers, and it's doing everything it can to rectify these issues.
Life inside Foxconn's various factories hasn't been regarded as an ideal workplace in the past years, nor recently. It's been questioned as to whether or not working conditions are suitable or if workers are treated possibly, and as a decisive act, Apple has stepped in themselves by ordering a investigation of Foxconn's factories.

iPhone developer ngmoco, the startup that has brought us the likes of the TouchPets series and Eliminate [AppStore] has acquired fellow iPhone game maker Freeverse. The company, with the involvement of Institutional Venture Partners, and existing shareholders Kleiner Perkins, Norwest Venture Parters, and Maples Investments, raised $25 million for the company. The details of the acquisition weren't disclosed, but part of the $25 million will probably go toward it.
Earlier this week at the WWDC iPhone Launch Party, Freeverse announced several upcoming games they have been developing for the iPhone and iPod touch: Warpack Grunts, Warp Gate, TrackZ, Flick Baseball and Thor.
As we reported earlier from Macworld 2009, Freeverse is set to release a slot car racing game called SlotZ Racer. Today we received word from Freeverse that the game has been submitted to Apple for review, so it should be available soon. We still haven't heard about pricing, so we'll just have to wait until the app is approved. In the meantime, check out the newly released track creation video as well as the gameplay video below.
