Jay Freeman, aka “Saurik,” is renowned for a name that is on every jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch: Cydia, the alternative to Apple’s App Store. First released in February 2008 by Freeman, Cydia quickly became the guiding light for the jailbreak community.
Introduced at Macworld 2010, FastMac's U-Socket was an instant hit, adding two USB charging ports to a standard wall outlet. Considering the number of iDevices I have laying around, U-Socket could easily be installed in several places in my home. Aside from reducing clutter, FastMac claims that the energy efficient design only outputs power when a device is plugged into the USB port, potentially saving you $25 in energy costs. If this claim is accurate, the device pays for itself in a year if you pre-order at the current $19.95 price!
Now for the bad news: U-Socket isn't schedule to ship until October. (Though that didn't stop me from pre-ordering a few!)
