The gaming giant, PopCap Games is said to be being acquired for over $1 billion by TechCrunch’s sources. At CES today, Slacker [App Store, Free] announced Slacker Radio v2.0 for the iPhone as well as the Android OS, WebOS, and BlackBerry devices. The most significant feature of the new version — assuming there are other new features — is the ability to cache stations for offline listening. We're not exactly sure how the caching works, whether you subscribe podcast-style or if it just caches as you listen.
Slacker also announced that ABC News has been added to the Slacker Radio service. We haven't heard a release date for the new version, but we're guessing it's in Apple's hands at this point. Feel free to check out the screenshots below while you wait for the new version!
Not long after it's unveiling at CES for the Blackberry, Slacker Radio has been released in the US App Store for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The app offers both personalized internet radio stations based on similar concepts to Pandora Radio, and pre-programmed stations.
