Nine Inch Nails has published a video in which Trent Reznor, Rob Sheridan, and Digg cofounder Kevin Rose show the features of their official app, NIN Access, which will be released some time later this month. The app will provide a native iPhone interface to the band's website, Nin.com, as well as offer a number of social location-based features and the ability to stream music from their site in real time. The folks of the xGPS project have announced that version 1.2 of their jailbreak-only xGPS Navigation Software for the iPhone will bring voice navigation functionality to the iPhone for the first time. The app, which is still currently in beta testing stages, will be able to "receive verbal commands on your next turn as you approach it."
iSlayer, the guys that made the iStat Pro desktop widget for the Mac, is working on an iPhone version. The widget shows you everything you need to know about what your computer is doing, including network speeds, CPU and RAM usage, fan speeds and internal heat readings. iStat for your iPhone lets you check those things when you're not by your computer.
