Untethered iPhone 4S Jailbreak Just a Few Days Away

A jailbroken iPhone 4S running on iOS 5.0.1 was filmed and published on YouTube a few days ago by Dustin Howett, a member of the Chronic Dev Team. The video shows the jailbreak features, of course, and confirming the validity, Siri is asked to check the weather.

Messages+ Allows Jailbroken Users to Send Text Messages Anywhere Within iOS

I never did get the point of jailbreaking your iOS device to then go and download a paid tweak from Cydia, but this next addition that you can download really makes the difference. Something that I've really been wanting for iOS is an easy way to reply to text messages without quitting my current open process; an annoying task to exit your applications every time you decide to simultaneously get social. Messages+ for jailbroken fixes that issue, which really makes me want to jailbreak my 4S. Unfortunately, I can't do so with an untethered jailbreak, quite yet.

Second Year in a Row iOS 4.2.1 Users Encounter Alarm Issues

If you recall around the same time last year, people all around the world were complaining about their alarms not going off, and they were eventually reassured by Apple that the problem would resolve itself. Similarly, according to Engadget, the problem is occurring for many users this year who are either stubborn to update to iOS 5 or simply aren't able to and are stuck with iOS 4.2.1.
