Issues with apps crashing or not even loading has gone from a pesky problem for some to an outright nuisance for an increasing number of users, causing people to look for a solution to the problem. One user decided to go right to the source and ask Steve Jobs himself for a response to the problems, and he replied with confirmation that they are aware of the problem and a set date for when they will supply a fix.
A mysterious diagnostics screen has been discovered in the iPhone 2.0's software. A user in the Hackint0sh forums posted images of the strange screen. It is still unknown exactly what it was. Even the Genius at the Apple Store he took it to had no answer other than to try activating it. It appears as though it may have been a diagnostics screen of some kind. Images after the break.
For you iPod touch users out there, don't worry. We haven't forgotten about you. Apple has just released the iPod touch 2.0 software for $9.95. Of course, they seem to be having a hard time keeping up with everything that's been going on today, but who can tell how much longer that will be. You can download the update (in theory; you should exercise patience as it will probably take some time) at Apple.com. (And yes, it was leaked earlier.)
