My Brute is a RPG-style fighting game in which you put your 'brute' against an opponent. Your Brute can only fight 5 battles per 24 hours, however, so be sure to train it hard and keep coming back!
Real Racing is a racing application with multiple playing modes, a great selection of vehicles and beautiful graphics to boot. Tilting to steer through vicious opponents and great scenery, players will find themselves immersed in the tight controls and fast-paced races.
Radial 50 is a brick-breaker game with an entirely new twist and great graphics. Instead of the typical 'get rid of all the bricks and watch out for that abyss' style of the brick-breaker genre, Radial 50 allows you to move the paddle around a circle of blocks with varied purposes with the goal of hitting the diamond in the center. With 50 steadily increasing levels and power-ups/ power-downs, this game proves to be quite the challenge.
X-Plane 9 is an incredibly realistic flight simulator that you might recognize by some of the inert adverts strewn about this site. With simple thrust and flap control, tilting to maneuver and a full set of words that end in "-ometer" to aid your simulated flight, this game promises to test your mettle and precision.
Myst is a puzzle-adventure game from Cyan Worlds, Inc., that steadily draws you in with tiny clues and broad landscapes. For those not fortunate to play the game when it was originally released, this is a great time to immerse yourself in a plot thick with drama and mystique. Penetrator is a simple yet challenging game app from Readdle that finds you piloting a futuristic vessel through tight corridors deep underground. There are no weapons or enemies to avoid here; the point is simply to last as long as you can without exploding. Be careful, touch the corridor walls or a barrier and it's all over! Penetrator has a simple concept, is surprisingly difficult to play well, and gives you incredible satisfaction once you get good.
Twiddle is a paddle ball game app, in which you must destroy blocks with a bouncing ball while keeping the ball in play and racking up as many points as possible. The retro-tech savvy will immediately recognize Twiddle's similarities to classic games Pong and Arkanoid. The addition of blocks which appear and disappear at random really adds a level of difficulty that makes Twiddle a challenging diversion. Things get even more interesting with the inclusion of special blocks and giant boss blocks. Compare your high scores against the entire world!
Harbor Master is an addictive game where your goal is to direct incoming ships to the loading docks. The concept is not unlike that of the infamous Flight Control, but Imangi Studio adds a twist. You also have to direct them back out again! Things get pretty wild after a while, as you try to guide multiple ships in and out while trying to stop them from running into each other!
Remember Rock'em Sock'em Robots, the old game where a couple of robots try to knock each other's heads off? SmackBOTS is that, on the iPhone. The concept is still just as simple and the amount of frustration is just as high, but the game's been given some shiny graphics, a little story, and taken out of the old plastic boxing locale.
