iOS users with jailbroken devices can now make the Google Search app a backup to Siri thanks to a new jailbreak tweak called NowNow. Of course Google Search can’t launch apps, or access your contacts like Siri can, but it’s a great tool for looking up information or getting directions.
One of the biggest confirmations we got of the iPad's existance prior to yesterday's keynote was a comment from publishing giant McGraw-Hill's CEO, Terry McGraw, who confirmed that they were in talks with Apple about the possibility of publishing some of their books and textbooks as ebook for the iPad. However, during yesterday's keynote, the McGraw-Hill logo was nowhere to be found.
During an interview on CNBC, McGraw-Hill CEO Terry McGraw confirmed that they'll have books on the tablet. According to McGraw, 95% of their books are already in e-book form, which will presumably be available on the tablet. He went on to confirm that the device will be announced tomorrow and that it'll be based on the iPhone OS.
