It seems iPhone developer and publisher, Gamevil is halfhearted on whether they should be going completely freemium with their games or not. Recently, they have dropped a few of their games from their original price point down to absolutely FREE. Check them out below. These applications are definitely not Gamevil’s
Save for the fact that these birds don’t fly, they truly are the high-fliers of the app store, having accomplished more than any other application or developer could ever dream of. At the top of the charts, four flightless birds reign over the app store. It seems birds, well the
The RPG genre on the app store has been seeing a huge growth in the past few month, but past few weeks mainly. Many of the large developers have been releasing their titles, and it seems that games are being spit out day after day. This gives even more reason
I was able to spend a few days with Wi-Fi Sync on my jailbroken iPhone and found only two downsides to this extremely simple app: It doesn't work on the iPad and it's not available in the App Store. Wi-Fi Sync allows you to sync your iPhone or iPod Touch to your Mac without having to use the USB cable to do it. This is a feature that should be standard on all iDevices, unfortunately the app was rejected by Apple and is now only available for the brave souls who are willing to jailbreak their device.
iPhone hacker, Comex, has confirmed that his Spirit jailbreak for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad will be available on Friday. Spirit should provide an untethered jailbreak, meaning users won't have to plug the device in each time they reboot. We will provide more details as they become available.
The iPhone Dev Team has released redsn0w 0.9.5 Beta with the ability to jailbreak the iPhone 3G with Apple's latest mobile operating system, iPhone OS 4 Beta 1. Videos of a working jailbreak solution were on youtube within 24 hours of Apple announcing the new update last week, but many believed that the public would have to wait until June to see a jailbreak tool.
George Hotz, also known as Geohot, has announced that his Blackra1n jailbreak is now working on iPhone OS 4.0, only one day after we learned that Blackra1n will work on the iPad. We're still waiting on an official release, and we'll keep you informed as soon as more information becomes available.
Famed iPhone hacker, George Hotz (aka Geohot), has successfully jailbroken the iPad. As we mentioned earlier, Geohot believed his jailbreak would work on the iPad on the day of release. It looks like it took a little longer than expected, though a week is hardly anything to complain about.
Although details are limited at the moment, observant individuals may notice that both Cydia and Blackra1n seem to have made it to the iPad already. There's no download just yet, but we expect to see an official release any day now.
A well-known iPhone hacker who goes by the name MuscleNerd released a video showing a successful jailbreak of the iPad. The jailbreak is not for general consumption yet, as there's not an official download currently. The new hack exploits a bug found on the 3.2 version of the iPad OS, so considering the news of the iPhone OS 4.0 being previewed on April 8, this jailbreak might be something to wait on.

Apple today released iTunes 9.1 which brings several changes and enhancements, including support for syncing the iPad. In anticipation of the iBookstore, the "Audiobooks" section of iTunes has been renamed to "Books" and now allows users to manage both audio books and eBooks.
However, in addition to the other features mentioned below, some users are reporting that iTunes 9.1 seems to have broken sync on some jailbroken devices. Initially it had appeared that my jailbroken iPhone 3GS was affected, although rebooting my computer re-enabled sync. If you experience issues with syncing your iPhone or iPod touch after applying the update, restarting your computer should fix the problem.
