Apple Design Award Winners Announced for 2012

Today Apple announced the winners of its annual Apple Design Awards at the Worldwide Developer's Conference (WWDC). Winning developers, as part of their award and nomination, will receive complimentary Apple products including a MacBook Air, an iPod Touch, an iPad, the Apple Design Award cube trophy and also a special lanyard all to congratulate the developers.

Minimum iAd Buy-In Fee Reduced Again

According to a report from Advertising Age, Apple has yet again reduced the price required, at the minimum, for developers to opt into their iAd program. Launching back in the Summer of 2010, the program allows developers to signup and add a little bit of code to their applications to in effect support advertising with the ultimate hope of earning some extra money.

Incase Preparing A New Power Slider for Release

Incase has informed iLounge that current models of the Incase Power Slider have been discontinued and are no longer available from their site. Although third party retailers may still have them, Incase is planning to release a new version of the Power Slider. Current models have reportedly been known to decrease 3G reception for some users. Incase plans to address the issue with the new version. A specific release date is unknown, but it will be “around the holiday timeframe.” The Power Slider is a combination case and battery based off the design of the Incase Slider.
