Case Maker Vaja Previews First iPad Pouches

Accessory maker Vaja has been working on a new line of cases for Apple's upcoming iPad. The new lineup will include the Retro Slim Jacket, which will feature Argentinian leather sleeve fully that covers the Apple tablet and supplies padding along with a magnetic latch. Although only one color is on display so far, it's likely Vaja will let buyers customize both the main color and the inset hue.

The Retro Slim Jacket should be about $120 and will take about 25 days of crafting to complete. Few details about the remaining lineup have been shown, but a teaser on the main Vaja page shows an upsized version of the company's iVolution flip case and confirms that it will be an option in the future.

Usually the designers and higher-ups at UNIEA are pretty secretive about this stuff, — at least that's what Mike told us in his email — but in this case, not so much. The case is called the U-Diamond and it's a pretty rugged looking silicone case with a nifty diamond pattern on the back. When it's released in Q1 2010, it'll be available in several colors.

Aside from it looking nice, there's not much else to say right now. Just check out the photo of the case below!
