Diner Dash
Diner Dash is an award winning game from PlayFirst, Inc.. You are Flo, the tireless yet always yawning owner of a sleazy diner. Your goal is to improve your diner's appearance and service as you try to get customers in and out the door as fast as possible. Ultimately, your goal is to open bigger and better restaurants and achieve 5 star status.
This beautifully executed game is fun and addictive yet easily played and put away while waiting on a line at the Post Office.
Diner Dash has 50 levels of play, 6 different kinds of customers and two game play modes, "career mode" described above and "endless mode" which is just pure survival with increasing levels of difficulty.
You run around seating customers, taking their orders and clearing their tables. Customers are various colors and seating them in matching colored seats gains you more points per transaction. As the levels increase most customers get more fussy and impatient so serving them coffee or other freebees will pacify them a bit as you strive to service them in a timely manner.
The good:
Game play is surprisingly easy to navigate on the iPhone's small screen and the game responds extremely well to touch and drag and drop. The music and sound effects are fun and non-intrusive.
I suspect that PlayFirst, Inc. will port some of their other games like "Cake Mania", "Cooking Dash" and their new "Parking Dash" from the traditional computer platform to the iPhone.
The bad:
Diner Dash is an extremely addictive game so plan on wasting plenty of time. The price is a bit steep especially if you are not a fan of this genre or repetitive games, perhaps $4.99 would be more appropriate.
The Bottom line:
All in all Diner Dash is a good gaming experience, it is engaging, has great graphics and music and is challenging enough to keep your attention. A lowering in price would make it even better.

The price definitely seems a bit steep compared to other offerings in the App store. I agree that $4.99 seems like a more appropriate price point.
