Wild West Pinball
It's definitely one of the best pinball games I've seen for the iPhone. Even though the wild west may seem like a strange theme, they do a good job making everything tie in. In addition to the fun look, the physics and the sounds were designed to give you as realistic an experience as possible.
Wild West Pinball is not your average pinball game. It tries its best to make it feel as if you're actually playing on a pinball machine, and it does a pretty impressive job if I may say so myself. The controls are simple. All you do is tap the left or right side of the screen to move the corresponding levers! Easy, right? The only thing it seems to be lacking is a way to tilt/shake the "table".
Now as far as the theme goes? I'm kind of torn. The game is a keeper, but the theme? I find it to be a somewhat odd choice, to tell you the truth. When I think computerized pinball, I think of an outer-space backdrop with wormholes and flashing lights. What I do not think of, however, are train tracks, banks full of gold, and a chance to kill "Dirty Harry". It definitely set their game apart from others, I'll give the developer's that much.
If you're a big fan of the classic pinball feel, then this app may be just the thing. However, if you're looking for something with customizable settings and a complex menu, then you may want to pass on this one. The game is just like a pinball table in it's complexity, meaning, it has none. In fact, it doesn't even have a menu. It's not fancy, but then pinball isn't a fancy game.
