On the part of the Screen Protector part.....

I always use the Anti-Glare screen protector that is sold at the Apple Stores. I personally think they are the best because it is $15 for 2 screen protectors. With the screen protector on, you dont even know that it is there because it sits flush with the screen. Also, there are barely any smudges or fingerprints that show up while the protector is on.

While installing this protector, make sure to wipe iphone screen completely off. Also, the pack of protectors comes with a pre-installation film to remove hair or lint or dirt. If you end up with a bubble or a piece of hair underneath the protector you can wrap a piece of scotch tape around your finger in apply to a corner and pull up to remove the protector, and then just reapply the protector til it is on the way you want.

I had to remove mine on my 3gs about 5 times during installation and never noticed anything go wrong with the oleophobic screen. My screen looks like there is no protector on it at all and is protected.

One last thing, the feel of the screen with the protector installed is way way way better than without. What I mean is that when sliding fingers across the screen, it is very smooth and does not stick or anything or leave prints.

I think the whole iPhone in the pool thing should be tested (regardless of whether the youtube video is real or not). It'd be interesting to see what our phone can handle. PC World had put out a video previously where the guy was "washing" the phone off under a faucet of water. The phone still worked. Unfortunately they didn't take it a step further and see if it worked an hour or a day later when the water could have worked it's way further into the device. They just ran over it a few times with a motorcycle instead.

Mythbusters would be the obvious choice of people to test this myth.

Great podcast! It's nice when you have so many people on like this week. Mac OS Ken is a great addition, and welcome to the new guy! Although he didn't talk much.

What's draining my battery is Notifications. I only use it for AIM (poor man's texting).
