Bad analogy
First, comparing modifying a car to jail breaking the iPhone. The thing is not everybody has the skill to modify a car (even just replacing the controller for the engine). But because of the ease of use that the Pwnage tool offers anybody can easily jail break an iPhone
Second, comparing tweaking the Mac OS to jail breaking the iPhone. IIRC (please correct me if I am wrong), but jail breaking the iPhone requires replacing the iPhone kernel with the jail broken one. Given that, I have yet to see anybody offering a different kernel for the Mac OS.
As it is, I know that more than one person (Leo Laporte and Adam Christianson, I know have reported it), that after jail breaking their phone it never seemed as stable as it did before jail breaking. And even restoring the phone did not help.
It was cool to have the developer from PoweryBase on. I use NotifyMe all the time. Please have more developers on if possible!
