ZOMM to Debut Bluetooth Phone Leash at CES
For anyone who’s ever lost their iPhone and then proceeded to pick up the landline and dial the handset number over and over again, hunting down the faint ringing emanating from the couch cushions, the guys at ZOMM will be releasing something you might like.
The ZOMM functions as a keyring that both supports Bluetooth and tethers wirelessly to your iPhone. In cases where you leave the handset or the ZOMM itself behind, the unit will begin to blink, buzz and chime. Other features include the ZOMM alerting you to incoming calls and allowing you to take them through the ZOMM like a disconnected speakerphone.
The ZOMM is about the size of a poker chip, will be available in black and white color options and arrives with a micro USB charger that connects to any computer to charge it as well as provide updates to the device. The ZOMM will be showcased at CES in Las Vegas next week and be available for retail sale in the second quarter of 2010.
A final price has yet to be determined, though we’ll bring you news of this as soon as we get it.
