World Clock App Has New Year's Date Glitch

in

iPhone users around the world tracking the coming of the new year found a little glitch with the iPhone. Several users in the Apple discussion boards found problems with the iPhone's world clocks for several locations while watching them roll over into the new year.

One user posted on the Apple discussion boards that "I have world clocks configured to show Tokyo which has already brought in the new year, but the date still says that it is '07/12/31' and all of my other cities that have not hit 2008 say 'Today' for the date."

Yet another added: "Now Europe is in 2008, this bug is manifesting itself in reverse: US cities are being displayed with a date of 08/01/01, despite still being in 2007. Europe and Australian cities are listed as 'Today'."

The ManOfWy blog also took a photo of an iPhone showing the bug:

It seemed that the problem was only temporary. Now that all of the time zones are in the new year, everything functions as usual.
