Vodafone UK To Offer iPhone January 14th

Vodafone announced recently that they will be ready to launch the iPhone on their network starting January 14th, 2010. The smallest plan they’re offering will be £30 a month for 24 months, with additional handset charges ranging from £59 (iPhone 3G 8GB) to £239 (3GS 32GB). Those willing to sign on to a £35/month tariff for 24 months will get their 8GB iPhone 3G for free.

Some concern has been generated over the network’s ability to handle the increased traffic load that inevitably comes with an iPhone launch, but Guy Laurence, chief executive of Vodafone UK, says the company has been preparing for the launch for over a year, strengthening their infrastructure.
