Verizon Wireless Ends Unlimited Data For New Customers
Verizon Wireless announced that it’s discontinuing unlimited data plans for new smartphone customers. Starting Thursday, July 7, new customers will be offered four tiered plans: $10 for 75MB, $30 for 2GB, $50 for 5GB, and $80 for 10GB. Current Verizon customers with a plan, along with those who upgrade on or after July 7 will not be affected by the change. Upgrade-eligible customers will be able to retain their plans when switching to a new mobile device.
Customers who exceed their capped plan will be charged $10 per gigabyte or $10 per 75MB on the entry-level plan.
