Universal Remote Accessory for iPhone to Debut at CES

With the Consumer Electronics Show on the horizon, accessory manufacturer L5 Technology has stated that it will be using the event to debut the L5 Remote (complete with a free application), a device that gives your iPhone or iPod touch universal remote control access functionality.

The device itself measures 1.25″ x .85″ and plugs into the handset’s dock connector. From here, the user can drag and drop buttons into customized locations to control home entertainment devices within 30 feet. Users can control devices without independent batteries, external power or a Wi-Fi connection.

The L5 Remote will retail for $50 and be available in February.
