Two New Odd and Expensive Apple Accessories
iTableous isn’t the first iPhone table, and its not even the best, lacking the touchscreen capabilities of the Table Connect, but it’s still interesting. iTableous is basically a giant white iPhone that is navigated using a wireless keyboard and mouse. It features GB of DDR2 RAM, 500GB of internal storage, a 5.7 megapixel camera, 720p video recording, as well USB and HDMI. It can also run Mac OSX 10.6.7, with a little tweaking, and Windows 7 Professional. The 30-pin connector allows you to hook up your real iPhone to the large device.
I’m not sure if I would want a giant white iPhone table sitting in the middle of my home, but I guess it could make a nice addition to someone’s man cave. Perhaps a companion piece for your foosball table? I really have no idea what purpose it would serve.
An even weirder Apple accessory is a bunch of fashionable iPad covers made out of Bernie Madoff’s wardrobe. Yep, the pants that once covered the mastermind behind the largest Ponzi scheme in American history, can now cover your iPad!
31 covers have been created so far, and two are currently available for purchase on the Fredrick James website for $350.
The iPad covers fashioned from Bernie’s Ralph Lauren Polo and off-white khakis pants won’t offer much protection, but they will be a conversation starter. I hope this doesn’t start a new trend of famous criminal Apple accessories.
Creator John Vaccaro told the New York Post, “people want these because he’s somebody who did something bad.” The entrepreneur expects to get 64 iPad covers from Bernie’s pants alone.
