Things Updated To Include Sync

One of the many forays into to-do and task management apps, Things has recently been updated to version 1.1. Version 1.1 of Things Touch adds the much awaited ability to sync to the Mac desktop client. Things Touch also adds app badge support, and preference app support.

The new app badge support displays a numbered badge telling you how many items you have to-do today. To enable the badge Culture Code, the makers of Things, instruct users to visit their devices preferences and select the Things preferences where you will find new logging and badge options. To enable the sync feature users will be required to update the Mac client aswell, at this time sync is only available across the same WiFi network.

Things is a great To-Do app for the iPhone and the Mac, now with the added sync ability it’s a serious competitor to the what some may deem the over-priced OmniFocus suite at $19.99 on the iPhone and $79.99 on the Mac versus the $9.99 Things Touch and $49.00 for Things Mac.

correction

actually, the desktop version is free for the time being since it is currently in beta. if you sign up for their newsletter before the actual release, you can then buy it for $39. if you buy it after they release without signing up, then it's $49. and i hear they're going to raise the price of the iphone app at some point, who knows if that's true though...

by the way

and i have the desktop and iphone versions and love em. so glad they have syncing available now.

Thanks for the correction. The article has since been corrected.

I've been using Things on the Mac since it launched its great. And now with syncing its nice to be able to make a to-do on my iPhone, sync it to Things on my Mac and then have Things Mac sync over to iCal/Mail and add or edit To-Dos there. It's a nice workflow.

Version Number

It's actually Things 1.1 for iPhone/iPod touch, not 1.01

Ah yes thank you. Info came from an older blog post. New post here.
