Starbucks Launches AT&T Wi-Fi Portal For iPhone/Touch

As some of you recall, Starbucks cut a deal with AT&T a while back to take over as their internet provider for Wi-Fi hotspots, and there was some speculation that it might mean free Wi-Fi for iPhones/iPod touches. Well, they were partly right. AT&T has created a new log-in portal for Starbucks hotspots for the Apple handhelds, and now offers two hours of free Wi-Fi.
Using their iPhone-optomized portal, iPhone/touch users can easily log in and purchase a membership or day pass, as well as use a coupon or prepaid card, right from the device. It would be a great alternative for users who don't want to carry a notebook around.

if i had a quarter????
Not that i go to the overpriced coffee superstore to buy a cup of water with coffee grinds in it, but why do i need an account to get my two free hours? let alone why i would want to stay there for two hours....This is why the economy is so bad. people complain about gas being 4 buck a gallon, but they pay 6 bucks for a pint of coffee with carmel in it. Where are our priorities America?
