SendMeHome Helps You Get Your Lost Stuff Back

If you're worried about loosing your iPhone in a public place, then read on. Earlier this week a new service was launched with the intention of helping good people return lost items to their owners. The service, called SendMeHome, lets a user make an account and create a unique ID code that they can place on their valuables, so in the event that one is found, the person can then log onto the SendMeHome.com and anonymously contact the owner.
What's great about SendMeHome is that it's a non-profit lost and found recovery service. The user doesn't have to pay them a dime to use it. Here's how it works.
People create an account at SendMeHome.com and are given their own unique ID code, which they write on labels that are put on the devices they want to get back if they're lost. That way, if it ever gets lost and is found by someone nice enough to want to return it, they can go to SendMeHome.com, enter the code, and the owner is contacted.
You can either print free labels yourself or order professionally made ones from their online store. You can also include the offer of a reward to add some incentive to return it.
“We believe that our users will be thankful for the money and hassle they are spared, but I think they will be even more pleasantly surprised by the kindness of strangers,” said James Tamplin, their head of business development.
